NEPRA Hikes Electricity Rates By Rs 5.75 Per Unit

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority ( NEPRA) has announced a massive hike in Electricity rates per unit for Karachi users.

The increased charges will be reflect in October and November bills for K- Electric consumers.As per notification issued by NEPRA, the electricity tariff has been raised by Rs2.59 per unit for May and Rs3.16 per unit for June under the monthly fuel cost adjustment mechanism.

NEPRA is the responsible for any change in Electricity rates across the Country. Whether it is MEPCO rates , FESCO rates , IESCO rates or else.1

The Governing body clarified that the hike applies to all K- Electric consumers except electric vehicle charges stations( EVCS) and lifeline consumers.

On the other hand , Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz announced an Electricity Relief Package for Punjab consumers. Those who consumed units more than 200 and up to 500 , will pay 14 Rs less per unit.
